When I Began Taking Photos

In the early 2000s, a stroke of luck changed the way I saw the world. After winning $1,200 from a scratch-off ticket, I invested in my first professional Canon camera. My initial goal was simple—documenting my artwork with clarity and precision. But what began as a practical need soon evolved into a passion.

At first, I photographed only my paintings and drawings, but gradually I found myself drawn to capturing moments of leisure, the beauty of nature, and the energy of community life. Over time, my camera became not just a tool of documentation, but an extension of my artistic vision.

I was fortunate to be invited to photograph fashion programs and events at a university, an experience that deepened my appreciation for storytelling through imagery. The photographs you see here reflect a journey—part documentation, part exploration, and part pure creative expression.
